We proudly present you with our very nice 'Belle-Île' model of cast decorative columns or pillars (in diameter 100 mm): a very authentic design, aesthetically well balanced, with exclusive "legacy" or traditional decorative castings at its extremities. It is also sturdy and imposing but nevertheless elegant, ornamental and stylish. These columns are very well suited for structural or architectural purposes.
It is also a colonial or classic model of decorative column, that will embellish your realization, and it is very easy to install. Forverandas, pergolas, porches, balconies, terraces, patios, arcades, canopies... Experience the real 'European Classic' style. Please note that our cast aluminium columns are nearly as load-bearing as standard cast iron columns. This model in a height of 2.5 m will bear loads up to 8.6 metric tons, or 14.6 tons when filled with concrete.
The 'Belle-Île-en-Mer' island in the Atlantic Ocean is part of the French 'Morbihan' department. Beautiful landscapes, beaches and rocks, nice little summer houses in granite stone, grandiose and sometimes dramatic views on the sea. The island has a total surface of 85 square Km ( 0.39 square miles) and was once fortified under the guidance of Mr Sebastien de Vauban, famous French engineer, warlord and architect. The island was the favourite summer residence of many French personalities amongst which the painter Monet and the great actress Sarah Bernhardt. This island sheltered during some years a penal colony for children in the 19th century; another one was in Corsica.
