decorative column biarritz

Have you ever been in Biarritz (France) ? That's one of the smartest places on the French "Riviera", and it is where we found our inspiration for this very elegant model of cast structural and  decorative columns or posts for verandah's, pergolas, terraces, patios, gazebos, canopies, etc.. It is slim, ornamental and architectural at the same time. Its classical design respects the French building tradition, as well as the tradition of the European foundries.

This stylish column or pillar can also be used for indoor renovation or decoration projects. We will deliver it at your exact overall height.

Biarritz is a French seaside town on the west-southern Atlantic coast of France, in its "Basque" region, on the Biscayne gulf. It is a luxurious place, with many old and renowned hotels, such as the magnificent 'Palace Eugénie' (now the 'Hotel du Palais') that was erected in 1845 by the Empress Eugénie, the spouse of Napoléon III. It is one of the last real 'palaces' in the world: luxury, quietness, comfort...

But it is also a very 'relax' place to be since it is one of the world's greatest surfing spots; surfers come to Biarritz from all over Europe. Many kings and heads of state stayed in Biarritz: Queen Victoria, Isabel of Spain, the Wurtenbergers, Leopold II of Belgium, the Metternichs... but it is the french writer Victor Hugo who really discovered and promorted the charms of this seaside resort.  The motto of Biarritz is quite nice: 'I have for me the winds, the stars and the sea'.

All our columns are produced in Belgium, with sand- cast aluminium pieces manufactured in our traditional foundry located next to the French border. This foundry was created nearly sixty years ago. The European Classic style.
